About Halfway 2 Furever

We don't have a physical shelter building. We are a foster based rescue. This means that dogs reside in private homes until they are adopted. My name is Cathy and I work with my husband Rob and our daughter, Caitlyn. Being an animal loving family, we believe in caring for animals in need. We enjoy helping her to see these animals into happy and healthy homes. My husband, my youngest daughter and myself love each and every one of the animals that we come in contact with and work with them to assure there is a smooth transition from our foster home to your furever home. Most of the dogs that you will see offered for adoption come from the extremely overcrowded animal shelters, rescue, Humane Societies, and Rescue leagues in the south. Some may be owner surrenders from right here in Massachusetts.

Once application has been approved visits are arranged. You can also see some of our selected dogs at PetCo on adoption weekends.

Adoption Process

Each prospective adopter will need to fill out an adoption application. This must be done prior to setting up an appointment to meet the "new family member". Adoption fees vary depending on the animal that is being rescued. We must take into account transportation fees, vetting, isolation and interstate health certificates. Fees range from $100 - $400. Email is checked frequently throughout the day. You can expect a reply to your email within 2 - 4 hours.
